Greta Hauer is a Designer and Researcher interested in the development of scenarios as means of enacting anticipatory actions.
Her practice examines existing systems by tracing their geographical, political and cultural changes and their often unseen impact on society. Using design as a methodology to simulate past and future events, projects may result in a variety of media including text, models, film, events, and architectural interventions.
Since 2022 she is a Policy Analyst at the Joint Research Centre at the European Commission, where she is contributing to establishing the Competence Centre Design for Policy as part of the EU Policy Lab (Foresight, Design and Behavioural Insights for Policy). Current research studies focus on future and existential risks and the Digitalisation process of rural communities and farmers.
